Kitchen Gardens By Kim
I’m Kim Malstrom. I have been gardening for 19+years. My gardening journey started when Jeremy and I got married. We were in a SMALL one-bedroom apartment and my lovely husband enjoyed watching football on Saturdays. I’m happy to watch for a bit but I soon found myself outside on my patio. One plant led to 2, and then 3, and so on.
I started in containers and I grew bell peppers and tomatoes. When we moved into our home there was an in-ground garden already started, so I transplanted my plants into that garden. I had success, so the next year I doubled in size, and the following year doubled that size. It continued on and now I maintain a 470 square-foot garden year round.
Let me be the first to tell you I have killed many a plant, but I’ve had a lot of success too. I preserve my fruits and vegetables, make pickles, jellies, and even olives! But what I enjoy the most is going out into my garden, picking something fresh, and adding it to the meal I’m eating RIGHT now! Oh, the Joy!
From these experiences, the dream of teaching people the love and knowledge of gardening was born! Kitchen Gardens by Kim is just that!
I want to come alongside my community, family, friends, and clients to teach you how to grow your food.
You may need guidance on how to get started, or you want someone to come along with you as you learn; others don’t need the know-how but want the benefits of having a kitchen garden.
Whatever your garden needs, I’d like the chance to help you along the way.
Have a blessed day and make sure to spend some time outside today!
